OCAD U x Doktor Karayom T-Shirt

As OCAD University’s first Ateneo Art Award resident in 2024, Filipino artist Doktor Karayom—known for his vivid, large-scale installations and works that blend folklore, everyday narratives, and contemporary social critique—presented the exhibition No One’s At Home (Walang Tao Sa Bahay) during his Toronto residency. Building on that experience, he has designed a limited-edition shirt that reflects the style and spirit of his time at OCAD U. Proceeds from the shirt will support the next Ateneo Art Awards resident artist, who will be announced in fall 2025 and will come to Toronto in 2025/26. Established in 2004, the Ateneo Art Awards recognizes emerging contemporary artists in the Philippines whose practices demonstrate innovation and critical engagement.

By purchasing the shirt, supporters help offset costs associated with the visiting artist’s stay in Toronto, sustaining this partnership and exchange between OCAD U and Ateneo Art Gallery at Ateneo De Manila University in the Philippines.
