Roots x Shina Kang “Sharp Centre” Crewneck

Created as part of the Roots x OCAD U Artist Series, this crewneck brings Shina Kang’s playful visual language to one of OCAD U’s most recognizable landmarks.

Kang uses the Sharp Centre for Design as a frame for creativity, imagination and inquiry, filling the structure with colourful symbols, typography and hidden details that reward a closer look. Small graphic elements reference ideas of play, questioning and discovery, turning the building itself into a kind of container for creative possibility.

The artwork appears across the back of a grey Roots crewneck, paired with a reworked OCAD U wordmark at the chest.
